Connecting to Shared Network Folders (Shares, Zephyr)

Shared Network Folder access need to be explicitly requested by your immediate supervisor on your behalf. Connections outside of the DU network require a secure VPN connection. For further assistance, please call 303.871.4700.

Mac OS X

1. While in Finder, navigate to "Go" and "Connect to Server", or use the keyboard shortcut > "Command + K". Connect to Share

2. Specify the server by using the protocol:

smb://shares.du.edu/dept/share*

*share being the name of the specific network folder that you are connecting to. If you don't know the share, leave that field blank.

For Zephyr, replace 'dept' with 'zephyr,' followed by the first 3 digits of your DU ID and an underscore and finally your DU ID

cifs://shares.du.edu/zephyr/87x_/87xxxxxxx

If you are connecting to a zephyr drive, use cifs instead of smb
