On Campus (Wired)

For optimum performance, UTS recommends using our wired network for both PCs, Macs and Laptops.   Most buildings have these connection running at 1 Gigabit with a few still at the slower speed of 100 Megabit, however when compared to wireless it is still a very fast and dependable method for transmitting data, especially video.

In order to connect to the DU network while on campus, you will need an Ethernet connection on your computer and a CAT5 or CAT6 network cable.  These can be purchased at any local computer store or the  DU Book Store.    Telecomm Services (A.K.A Network Services) sells these cable to departments at cost.
