Printing in departmental computer labs
Printing to your PC via a Network Connection
Printing to your PC with a Networked printer is almost exclusively limited to faculty and staff printing with departmental printers. However, faculty and staff may have printers in their individual offices may have a networked printer even if they are the only one using their printer.
Your printer is a network printer if a network cable connects the printer to the wall and there is no direct connection from your PC to the printer.
If you are experiencing problems with a network problem, make sure that both the printer and the computer have the network cables plugged in. If both are plugged in and you are unable to connect, please contact your departmental or divisional technical contact. If you do not have a departmental technical contact, please contact the UTS Help Desk at x1-4700 and a consultant will do more extensive troubleshooting with you.
