Video Services
UTS assists many departments with implementations of video technology. We've helped the Graduate School of Social Work deliver distance education, and we've helped many departments setup web cams to capture the construction of new buildings.
Teleconferencing (i.e. video conference) Services on Campus
Video Conferencing service is available @ Denver University in a few spots around the campus:
- Daniels College of Business - Advance Technology Room and Mobile Cart
- Boettcher West - Dept. of Geography/DRI
- Craig Hall - Graduate School of Social Work
- Sturm Hall - UTS - Multimedia Services
- The Cable Center - Studio #261 & Teleconferencing Room
- College of Law - Law Library
A DU mailing list is available to participate in technical and non-technical
issues surrounding Video Conferencing @ DU: info-vc@du.edu
Web Cam Services
UTS can handle the technical details of installing and configuring a web camera that delivers images to the Internet. Seeing a construction project live helps with fund-raising efforts, and it brings the campus to life on the Web. Contact us for an initial consultation before you begin any project that could include a Web cam.

Streaming Video Project
Video over the Internet is a hot topic on campuses across the country. A DU campus initiative led by UTS, the Center for Teaching and Learning, and the Office of Communications & Marketing is underway. The project goal is to select and configure a streaming video server, with all the requisite policies and procedures for it's collective use, during the fiscal year 2005/06.
