DU Departments and Units Web Sites
Any DU unit can request Web space on the University's servers and can
designate the people responsible for developing and maintaining Web content.
Visit the "Web Space
Request" form to begin the process.
All DU Web sites must comply with the following policies:
Personal Web Sites
Faculty, staff and students of DU are provided Web space automatically
when their University accounts are created. Nothing exists in this space
and therefore the url is invalid until Web pages are saved to the file
space. These accounts are removed and the personal Web sites deleted
a short time after individuals leave DU.
Your personal Web site is located at www.du.edu/~yourDUlogin
(Your DU login is the same as the first part of your email address before the
@du.edu) For instruction on how to create and publish your pages, review the
training handout titled "Creating
a Basic Website".
When creating a personal Web site, you must comply with the following policies:
- Intellectual Property Policy
- Network Acceptable Use Policy
- If using DU Web space to create class projects -- Class Project Web Sites Policy
DU Sites on Other Servers
Some DU departments,
schools, and business units maintain their own Web servers. For information
on such arrangements, please visit UTS policies regarding
special domain names.
