Credit Cards and Credit Score

Using credit cards can be an effective way to build and strengthen your credit report, which can allow greater access to better insurance rates, housing options, etc. However, it is important to be use credit cards wisely to decrease debt and stress, and increase your credit score.

Your credit score (300-800) is calculated based upon how often you make on-time payments and how many credit-based accounts are in good standing. Though, a credit report is only about credit cards; any loan payments will also be factored into this calculation. Learn more here.
