Admitted Student Visit Options

Congratulations on your admittance!

Congratulations on your acceptance to the University of Denver. We offer several unique visit programs at DU, each with its own "flavor" and schedule of events. Are you keen on asking the chancellor a question or two? Would you like to sit in on a class? Perhaps attend a lacrosse game? Below you will find all of the options available to allow you to experience the DU campus through the lens of an admitted student.

Pioneer Days

March 4, April 8, April 22
(8 a.m.-3 p.m.)

These weekday events provide an insider's look at DU on a typical school day, a student-led tour, lunch in our dining halls, a Q&A with the Chancellor, a student panel, and a departmental fair with representatives from academic majors and student life.  Registration details will be included in a special invitation from the Chancellor.

  • 8:00 a.m.- Check-in
  • 8:30 a.m.- Admitted Student Information Session
  • 9:30 a.m.- Chancellor Q&A for Parents and DU Student Q&A for Prospective Students
  • 11:00 a.m.- Campus Tour
  • 12:00 p.m.- Lunch
  • 1:00 p.m.- Academic & Student Life Fair
  • 2:00 p.m.- Faculty Speaker
Journey to DU

April 6, April 20
(8 a.m.-1 p.m.)

As our only weekend visit option, this program is more conference-style with several simultaneous sessions allowing you to customize your visit with the information you are most interested in. There will be sessions from every academic division, student life, and career services. At the end of the program you have the option to stay and cheer on our Pioneers at the lacrosse game! Registration details will be included in a special invitation from the Chancellor.

  • 8:00 a.m.- Check-in
  • 8:15 a.m.- Welcome and Opening Remarks
  • 8:30 a.m.- Admitted Student Information Session
  • 9:20 a.m.- Breakout Session I
  • 10:15 a.m.- Breakout Session II
  • 11:15 a.m.- Campus Tour
  • 12:15 p.m.- Lunch
  • 1:00 p.m.- Dessert Tailgate Party and LAX Game (Optional)
Friday @ DU

Jan 18, Feb 1, Feb 15, March 29, April 5, April 12, April 19, April 26
(9 a.m.-1 p.m.)

Offered on select Fridays throughout the year, these programs run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Starting March 29, the program will include a separate Information Session for accepted students with more details regarding orientation, housing and registration followed by a Q&A with current DU students, tour and lunch. All students can personalize their visit by requesting to speak with a representative from an academic unit or department on campus. Register using our online Campus Visit Planner.

  • 9:00 a.m.- Information Session
  • 10:00 a.m.- Student Panel
  • 11:00 a.m.- Campus Tour
  • 12:00 p.m.- Lunch
  • 1:30 p.m.- Academic Appointment (upon request and availability)
Daily Information Session and Campus Tour

Monday - Friday
(9-11:30 a.m. and 2-4:30 p.m.)

One-hour information sessions are held twice daily Monday through Friday, beginning at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Student-led campus tours lasting 90 minutes follow the information sessions. Accepted students can individualize their visit by requesting to meet with an academic department, spend the night with a current student (available Monday-Thursday), and/or attend a class during regular quarter hours (two weeks’ notice preferred). * Available upon request and may have limited availability – not automatically included as a part of your visit experience. Please note that overnights and class visits will not be available between March 11th and March 31st.

How do I register?

For the Daily Info Session/Tour and Friday @ DU Programs, register for your campus visit at least two weeks in advance using our online Campus Visit Planner to let us know which visit program you would like to attend. Please keep in mind some programs have limited space and can fill as early as two weeks before the program.  For the Pioneer Days and Journey to DU Programs, registration details will be included in a special invitation from the Chancellor.
