CRI STAFF UPDATE
Assistant to the Co-Director for nearly four years (2008-2011), Autumn Gorman (IIC MA, IMBA '10), is now an Emerging Markets Development Advisers Fellow in Jordan. The DU Alum has been assigned to El Hassan Business Park (EHBP), an organization dedicated to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship and economic development in Jordan, and the greater Arab world. In addition to advising new entrepreneurs, Autumn is developing a branding and communications strategy for EHBP and assisting in the development of a new Master's degree program in Entrepreneurship at Princess Sumaya University for Technology. She has conducted extensive research on diasporas and development, which she is using to design a new non-profit organization and corresponding USAID proposal. The DU Alum has been assigned to El Hassan Business Park (EHBP), an organization dedicated to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship and economic development in Jordan, and the greater Arab world.
In her spare time, Autumn is taking Arabic, exploring Jordan, learning about its cultures, and gaining new perspectives on the Arab Spring and the Israel-Palestinian conflict. She does not yet know what adventure awaits her when the fellowship ends in August, but Autumn says she is grateful for the support and well-wishes from the Conflict Resolution Institute community – and particularly for Dr. d'Estree's mentorship.
