International Students

Scholarships for international students are available; however they are limited and competitive. The best resource for scholarships or funding is the student?s home country. Students should search for opportunities from the government, local businesses, organizations, and foundations in the home country.

American Councils for International Education Provide international student grants and fellowships to international students from the former Soviet republics.

American Association of University Women Fellowships, Grants, and Awards for U.S. and International Women Scholars.

American Foundation for Aging Research Applicants must be undergraduate, graduate or pre-doctoral students. U. S. citizenship is not required. Must be actively involved in, or planning active involvement in a specific biomedical or biochemical research project with a faculty member in the field of aging.

Department of State Fulbright Program Grants for non-U.S. citizents to study or teach in the United States.

International Education Financial Aid Provides a free searchable database with various sources of aid available for international students.

John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Fellowship for students who exhibit exceptional creativity, promise for important future advances based on a track record of significant accomplishment, and potential for the fellowship to facilitate subsequent creative work.

Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund  MALDEF's Law School Scholarship Program awards scholarships of varying amounts to several students each year based on their commitment to serve the Latino community through law; their past achievement and potential for achievement; and their financial need. MALDEF's Law School Scholarship Application for the 2011-2012 school year will be open to all law students who will be enrolled full-time in an American-accredited law school in 2011-2012.
