Riding the bus or light rail is a great way to get to work. Instead of dealing with congestion, construction and road rage, try using transit to get to work. Benefited staff and students simply show their Pioneer ID card with Eco/College Pass sticker as they board the train or bus.

    • 24 - University Blvd. (connects to Cherry Creek shopping area)
    • 21- Evans Ave (connects with the Evans light rail station- C & D trains)

Light Rail


The University of Denver light rail station has become an important fixture at the north end of campus, enabling those around the metro area to access DU from Southeast Light Rail. Trains operate from 5 am until 2 am, with enhanced service during the 6 am to 9 am and 4 pm to 6 pm peak periods. The station is located on Buchtel Blvd. at High Street across from the Ritchie Center.

SkyRide to DIA

Staff and faculty and full-time students can use their Eco Pass or College Pass for skyRide to DIA. 

*Please note: all Eco Pass holders must pay a $5 fee when using skyRide to DIA.  There will be no additional fee riding skyRide from DIA.  

There is no charge for skyRide with the student College Pass.

Carpool


Sharing the ride to work with a friend or colleague is an ideal way to make your daily commute more enjoyable and less expensive. Carpooling can be as simple as sharing a ride with your spouse, roommate or neighbor. If four to ten individuals share the same commute, you might want to explore a vanpool. Mountain Pool. If you are a student looking for a ride to the ski slopes, you can join the Mountain Pool network to find rides and win prizes for carpooling. Mountain Pool operates only during the ski season.

Biking


Biking to work and around town is a great way to combine your daily exercise with your commute. You can take your bike on the light rail and buses. Several Denver bike routes pass close by DU making for a safe and smooth ride to work or wherever you need to go.

Denver B-cycle. If you do no own a bike, the University of Denver has three B-cycle stations around campus where you can rent a bike. The B-cycles operate from March 1 through November 30, seven days a week between the hours of 5:00 am and 11:00 pm. From 11:00 pm to 5:00 am, members will be unable to check out bikes from the stations but will be able to return bikes to any station.
