The DU Transportation Center wants to help you get around town using RTD's bus and light rail system. Click on the links above to find general itineraries that explain how to get from DU to places like downtown Denver, Cherry Creek Shopping District, Boulder and even the airport!

Shopping Trips

Cherry Creek Shopping District:

• Board the northbound #24 bus near the southeast corner of Evans & University
• Get off at the stop either in front of Bed, Bath & Beyond or the next one, in front of Whole Foods

University Hills Shopping Center:

• Board the southbound light rail E, F or H train at the DU light rail station
• At Colorado Station, transfer to the southbound #40 bus
• Get off at Yale and cross to University Hills Shopping Center

Super Target:

• Board the southbound light rail E, F or H train at the DU light rail station
• At Colorado Station, transfer to the northbound #40 bus
• Get off at Virginia & Colorado, in front of Target

Downtown Denver:

• Take the northbound light rail E, F or H train from the DU light rail station
• If you take the E train, exit at Union Station; if you take the F or H train, exit at the 16th Street Mall. Maps at the stations will direct you to your favorite stores downtown.

Boulder Bound

Getting to Boulder is easy:

• Take the northbound light rail E, F or H train from the DU light rail station
• Exit at Union Station (E line) or the 16th Street Mall (F or H line) and take the free mall shuttle to Market Street Station
• At Market Street Station, board the B or BX regional bus to Boulder. The bus terminates at the Boulder Transit Center, just blocks away from the Pearl Street Mall.

skyRide to DIA

skyRide to the airport is a cinch ...

FREE with Student College Pass
$5 to DIA with staff/faculty Eco Pass, FREE from DIA

Option 1 - Transit all the way … Approx. 90 minutes to DIA.

From the DU Light Rail Station, take the Northbound E, F or H train to Downtown Denver. If you take the F or H line, exit at the 16th Street Mall, if you take the E line, exit at Union Station. Take the Free Mall Shuttle to Market Street Station. Transfer to the AF Eastbound to DIA. Buses leave approximately every 60 minutes.

Option 2 - Transit all the way … Approx. 90 minutes to DIA.

From the DU Light Rail Station, take the Southbound H train to 9-Mile Station. Transfer to the AT Eastbound to DIA. Buses leave approximately every 30 minutes.

Option 3 - Drive or get a ride to a park-n-Ride

Park your car at the 40th & Airport Blvd. park-n-Ride lot and take the AB, AF or AT to DIA. Buses leave every 15/30 minutes and take approximately 15 minutes to get to DIA. Or park your car at the Stapleton Transfer Station (Quebec & Martin Luther King Blvd.) and take the AB or AS to DIA. Buses leave every 15/30 minutes and take approx. 25 minutes to get to DIA.

Sometimes shuttles and taxis are a better option for getting to the airport if you don't have a car, have a lot of luggage, and don't mind spending a little more money.
