RTD Passes for Faculty & Staff

With this annual sticker on your DU Pioneer ID card, you can ride on all RTD regular services for free and on skyRide to DIA for $5 (skyRide from DIA is at no cost with valid Eco Pass).  Pass is not valid for special services (BroncosRide, RockiesRide, etc).

**Important Information about RTD Smart Cards: In January, RTD buses and light rail will be switching to a Smart Card system. Faculty/Staff will need to pick up a Smart Card in the Transportation Center, rather than the Eco Pass sticker that you use now. We will send out an email when we have the necessary equipment to begin issuing the cards for next calendar year. There will be no need to pick up stickers anymore. All staff requesting a 2012 Eco Pass replacement (original 2012 pass was lost or stolen, or a new DU ID has been issued) must submit a Replacement Request Form to HR (Mary Reed Bldg) and receive approval prior to visiting the Transportation Center. The replacement pass will not be issued without the approval form from HR. 

Guaranteed Ride Home

This peace-of-mind program provides all benefited DU employees holding a valid Eco Pass a free taxi ride home in case of an emergency, illness, or unexpected schedule change. Designed to encourage DU employees to try alternative transportation, GRH provides employees with a free back-up ride through Yellow Cab or Metro Taxi when they cannot utilize their normal method of getting home (carpooling, vanpooling, riding the bus, walking, etc.).

Situations in which this program can be used include an employee's or family member's illness, working late unexpectedly, missing a usual ride home or other emergency situations. The program is not designed to be used for instances when an employee could have scheduled transportation beforehand.
