Graduation Application

Undergraduate students should apply at least three quarters prior to the intended quarter of graduation and have earned a minimum of 122 credits. If you apply to graduate after the fifth week of the quarter in which you intend to graduate, you will not be able to access application for that quarter. Please contact your graduation evaluator if you are attempting to apply after the fifth week.

Graduate students must apply at least two quarters prior to the intended quarter of graduation.

Law students planning on graduating spring or summer semester may apply as of November 1st of that academic year. For those planning on graduating fall semester, the application will be available the first day of that semester.

Check Your Curriculum Prior to Applying

Prior to applying to graduate, you should make sure that your curriculum record is accurate and up-to-date. Changes to your curriculum made during the quarter you submit your application may not be reflected on the graduation application. You may check your current curriculum through WebCentral under the �Student� tab.

If you are an undergraduate and need to make changes to your curriculum, you will need to submit the Application for declaration/change of Undergraduate Degree/Major/Minor. Changes to or declarations of minors may be made online via the Minor\Add Drop Form. Graduate students should contact the academic unit to make any necessary curriculum changes.

If, during the application process, you determine that a recent curriculum change is not reflected on your application, please email the appropriate graduation contact below to notify him or her of the correct curriculum.

The graduation application is located in WebCentral. Click here for step-by-step instructions on completing the graduation application. Please note, students who submitted a graduation application prior to the application being hosted in WebCentral will not be able to view their graduation application online.

Diploma Information
Diplomas will be released after the graduation date once verification of graduation requirements is finalized and all holds are cleared. Typically, the diploma and an unofficial transcript will be mailed eight to ten weeks after the quarter ends.

Commencement Ceremony Information
Four formal commencement ceremonies are held at the University of Denver each year. At the conclusion of the spring semester, a commencement ceremony is held for the Sturm College of Law. At the conclusion of the spring quarter, separate ceremonies are held for undergraduate and graduate students. At the conclusion of the summer quarter and summer semester, a commencement ceremony is held which includes all graduates.

Students who have completed all graduation requirements during fall, winter or spring quarter of the current academic year are invited to participate in the spring ceremony. Students who have completed all graduation requirements during the summer quarter are invited to participate in the summer ceremony.
