Benefits ChoicesAt the University of Denver our business is education. Knowledge allows us to make educated choices. We want choices in our education, our jobs, our health care and our finances. That’s why the University of Denver is offering you BENEFITS CHOICES, our flexible benefits plan, so that you can select benefits coverage to meet your own specific needs. Review our benefits guide, 2012 Benefits Choices Guide for the plan year July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013 to make choices that you feel will best protect you and your family for today and into the future. This guide contains only general and summary information and should not be considered as a replacem ent for the more detailed information set forth in certificates of coverage or master plan documents that are available in the Benefits Office of the Human Resources Department. While every care is taken to assure the accuracy of this handbook, in the event of any conflict between this handbook and such other more detailed information, those other documents will be the final authority. It is your responsibility to become familiar with the benefits available to you. The University of Denver assumes no responsibility or liability for the loss of any benefit that might otherwise have accrued to you which occurs because of your failure to familiarize yourself with the informational materials available to you. Questions you may have which are not addressed by this handbook or other written informational materials provided to you should be directed to the Benefits Office of the Human Resources Department. The benefits available to eligible faculty and staff of the University of Denver are subject to change at any time. With the exception of changes required by law, regulation or executive order or other external mandate, changes are normally the result of a collaborative and consultative process, which includes input from employees covered by those benefits. The University of Denver, however, remains the final authority for benefits for its employees, and expressly reserves to itself at all times the unilateral right to change, at its sole and final discretion, any or all aspects of the benefits it provides.
