Directions for Changing a Position |

Please print out these directions for reference while filling out the forms. |

Step one:
- Click on “PCR Form”
- Fill out the information on the form
- Print out the form
- Collect the appropriate signatures (Department and/or Division, and Executive level will all want to see the job description – please print out job description for their use)
- The PCR form (hard copy) will be in Human Resources after appropriate signatures are obtained
Step two:
- Click on “Job Description”
- Enter the job title
- Tab (this will get you to “Exempt” where a drop down box is provided)
- Select whether this position will be exempt or non-exempt
- Tab to and fill in “Hiring Range”
- Tab and select the “Division” in which you are located under
- Tab and type in your department
- Tab and type in the preparer
- Tab and type in the “Position Number”
- Tab and type in approver name
- Tab and begin typing the “Summary” of this position
- Tab and begin typing in the “Essential Duties and Responsibilities”
- Tab again to get to the next bullet line
- When reaching the end of the bullets, tab to get to “Education and/or Experience” OR hit enter for another bullet line to include more duties and responsibilities
- Tab and type in the “Education and/or Experience”
- Tab and type in the “Language Skills”
- Tab and type in the “Mathematical Skills”
- Tab and type in the “Reasoning Ability”
- Tab and type in the “Other Skills and Abilities”
- Tab and type in the “Physical Demands”
- Tab and type in the “Work Environment”
- When you are finished filling out the Job Description, click on “File”
- Click “Save As”
- Save it as the “JD” and the Position Number
- E-mail this Job Description as an attachment to: hr-postings@du.edu
- Please attach a copy of the Job Description to the PCR form as the Budget Office needs to see the information as well
