The Ombuds Officer
The Ombuds Officer at the University of Denver provides confidential and informal assistance to faculty, staff, and students. The Ombuds Officer may:
• Consult though listening, identifying problems, identifying options, exploring strategies, identifying procedures, advising on procedures, reviewing letters and rehearsing and role-playing approaches • Mediate disputes • Facilitate meetings • Make referrals • Provide presentation

Employee Assistance Program
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential resource for faculty, administrators, staff, and their dependents. The University recognizes that personal stresses affect not only an individual's life, but also the quality of an individual's work. The goal of the EAP is to minimize the effects of personal stresses on both a person's life and his/her work. The Employee Assistance Program helps with:

Gender Violence Education and Support Services (GVESS)
The GVESS office provides education and training on gender violence (sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence and stalking) and related issues. It is a resource for the entire DU community and provides support for survivors and their friends and families.
All services are free and confidential. The GVESS Office provides services to all who need them regardless of race, ethnicity, color, national origin, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, and veteran status. Services include:
- Individual advocacy and support (emotional, physical, legal, academic)
- Sexual Assault Survivor Advocate (SASA) Network – an on call team of trained DU advocates 303-871-3456 24/7 (except vacations)
- Training and educational opportunities
- Resource center and library on gender violence
- External resources by referral
