Pioneer ID Card

The Pioneer ID Card is your University identification and can be obtained from the Pioneer ID Card Office in the lower level of Driscoll Center (South) at no charge to faculty and staff.

All faculty and staff are entitled to a Pioneer ID Card. To obtain a Pioneer ID Card, a driver’s license or passport is required. All paper work must be completed and entered into the system before a card can be issued.

Adjunct faculty members are also entitled to Pioneer ID Cards. However, periods of inactivity may affect card access. Adjunct faculty who have not taught at the University for more than a quarter should check with the Pioneer ID Card Office to ensure that their cards are still active.

The Pioneer ID Card allows:

• Access to parking (when combined with a parking permit)

• Use of the Penrose Library collection

• Free admission during the first weekend of DU theatre productions

• A 10% discount on most non-sale items sold at the bookstore; however this does not apply to computer equipment purchases

• Reduced membership fees at the Coors Fitness Center and other Ritchie Center facilities

The Pioneer ID Card can also be used as a convenient method of payments at on-campus dining locations and some other locations in the University Park neighborhood.
