What is ServiceNow?
ServiceNow is the University of Denver's Enterprise Service Management (ESM) platform used to manage technology services and support across the university. It provides a centralized location for submitting service requests, reporting incidents, accessing self-service resources.
In addition to the Service Portal, ServiceNow includes dedicated experiences such as the Software Catalog, where students, faculty, and staff can browse and request university-supported software.
What are the features of this service?
ServiceNow provides a variety of tools to support both end users and staff, including:
- Submit and track technology incidents and service requests
- Access the Service Catalog to request services
- Browse university-supported applications, services, and tools through the Software Catalog
- Track the status of requests, approvals, and assigned tasks
- Search the Knowledge Base for self-service documentation and troubleshooting guides
- Create and maintain Knowledge Base articles and how-to guides (authorized users) to share with your team and public
- Receive notifications and updates on requests and assigned work
- Access reports and dashboards based on assigned roles
Who is eligible for this service?
ServiceNow is available to DU staff on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you have a use case for ServiceNow, please fill out the ITIL Request form
