What is this service? 

Adobe After Effects is the industry-leading digital visual effects and motion graphics software. After Effects can be used for keying, tracking, compositing, and animation in the post-production process.

What are the features of this service? 

  • Create your own or use presets to animate titles, credits and lower thirds
  • Animate or set anything in motion with keyframes or expressions
  • Add exciting effects, change a scene setting, add moving objects, make selective color adjustments and more
  • Create compositions in After Effects and import from Photoshop, Illustrator and other Adobe programs

    • Content-Aware Fill for video to remove unwanted objects
    • Roto Brush 2 for isolating objects in video
 

Who is eligible for this service?

As of October 1st, 2024, we have moved to request-based Adobe licensing.

Important Note: Even if you have previously had access to these systems, you still need to submit the request form to continue using Adobe products.

DU Staff and Faculty (including adjuncts) must use the Adobe Access Request form to get access to the following apps:

  • Adobe Express
  • Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (desktop PDF management application)
  • Adobe Creative Cloud (All Apps)

DU Students automatically have access to Adobe Express. Students must use the Adobe Access Request form to get access to the following apps:

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro DC
  • Adobe Creative Cloud

Once the request is submitted, the access will be provisioned overnight.

How do I start using this service?

Once your Adobe Access request is submitted and processed, follow these instructions to download and install Creative Cloud.

What type of support is available for this service?

Students, faculty, and staff at the University of Denver (DU) can get Adobe After Effects help by booking free online or in-person consultations at the DU Digital Media Center, located in the Anderson Academic Commons. Additionally, you can request technical IT support or access tutorials through the DU IT Service Portal.
