Innovation Floor

Woods Lab
DU IT Community learns “if you can imagine it, you can make it” during a tour of the Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science’s Innovation Floor.

The Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science Innovation Floor features a MakerSpace and Woods Lab and is open to students, faculty and staff wanting to turn ideas into innovative projects through technology and varied mediums.

Members of DU IT Community were treated to a tour of the floor, learning firsthand how the use of 3D printers, laser engravers, motion capture equipment, wood and metal machinery, industrial sewing machines and robotics equipment are contributing to the school’s mission to facilitate creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship through interdisciplinary collaboration at the University of Denver.  Learn how to bring your next idea to life on the Innovation Floor. The tour of the innovation floor is one of a series of summer events for the DU IT Community.  Many thanks to Professor Michael Caston and Innovation Floor Manager Jacob Goldman for providing this most excellent tour.  To be informed of other events please send a note to IT@DU.edu.
