Academy of Distinguished Researchers

The Academy of Distinguished Researchers represents recognition of research and creative excellence at the University of Denver. Membership is reserved for current Distinguished University Professor faculty members, who are awarded permanent distinction in the Academy for their sustained and nationally recognized contributions to scholarship. In addition, recipients of DU’s Research Scholar (Emerging, Established, or Eminent) and Creative Works awards are elected to the Academy for two, four, or six-year terms, corresponding to their career level.

The Academy underscores DU’s commitment as an R1 university to advancing impactful research and creative activity. Its members serve as role models, advocates, and advisors, fostering a vibrant research culture that inspires innovation, collaboration, and scholarly achievement across the university.
