Innovations in Affordable Housing Tour
Wednesday afternoon, join us for a special VIP tour of two of the region's most inventive answers to the housing shortage. At Blue Room Housing's flagship development in Denver's Art District on Santa Fe, off-site modular construction lets an entire apartment building be manufactured in a factory and assembled on location, cutting both cost and construction time compared to conventional building. The developer is designing the model to be repeated across the city as Denver works to close its housing gap.
At Mosaic Community Campus, a former college campus reimagined in Denver's East Colfax neighborhood, we'll see a different kind of innovation: permanently affordable housing woven into a full community, with a culinary incubator, workforce training, and a public school sharing the same grounds as the apartments – made possible by a community land trust that keeps the land itself, not just the buildings, dedicated to public benefit.
