AV Installations

Digital Media Services partners with DU faculty and staff to design and install collaborative classrooms, huddle-rooms, auditoriums and conference rooms which will facilitate the use of technologies like teleconferencing, video conferencing, streaming and distance learning.

To submit an A/V Installation request, please submit an ITIL Generic Request through ServiceNow. Please set the Category and Assignment Group fields as Request and "AV Installs" respectively.

Services we provide

Classrooms 

The classroom is designed for an interactive learning experience between students and professor. The HD recorder and camera package provide users with the ability to record lectures and presentations. Multiple input plates in the room provide users with various spots to present from and a wireless presentation system gives the user freedom to present from anywhere in the room. An optional video conferencing package allows for interactive conferencing with presenters from around the world. A site survey will determine whether monitor(s) or projector(s) will work best with the layout of the room as well as any additional features that will add to the classroom experience.

Huddle/Breakout Rooms 

Style 1 – Basic 

Features:

This system is designed or a small meeting/learning space or huddle/breakout room, which will be utilized by faculty, staff, and students. The room includes a wall-mounted monitor with an input plate on the wall. Connection options include VGA with audio or HDMI. Control of the equipment is via a Crestron button panel mounted on the wall. Sound is from the monitors built-in speakers. 

Style 2 - Intermediate

This system is designed for a small to medium size meeting/learning space or huddle/breakout room, which will be utilized by faculty, staff, and students. The room includes a wall-mounted monitor with an input plate on the wall. Connection options include VGA with audio or HDMI. Control of the equipment is via a Crestron button panel mounted on the wall. Sound amplification through either a Crestron sound bar or ceiling speakers will provide improved audio. 

Style 3 – Expert 

Features:

This system is designed for a small to medium size meeting/learning space or huddle/breakout room, which will be utilized by faculty, staff, and students. The room includes a wall-mounted monitor with an input plate on the wall. Connection options include VGA with audio or HDMI as well as wireless connectivity through a Kramer Collage. Control of the equipment is via a Crestron touch panel mounted on the wall, which will display the University of Denver logo for an added level of professionalism. Sound amplification through either a Crestron sound bar or ceiling speakers will provide improved audio. 

Conference Rooms 

Style 1 – Basic

This system is designed for a small to medium sized conference room, which will be utilized by faculty or staff. The room includes a wall-mounted monitor with an input plate on the wall. Connection options include VGA with audio or HDMI as well as wireless connectivity through a Barco ClickShare. Control of the equipment is via a Crestron button panel mounted on the wall. Sound amplification through either a Crestron sound bar or ceiling speakers will provide improved audio. Optional upgrades are available based upon the client’s needs. 

Style 2 – Intermediate
