About

The Institute for Human-Animal Connection (IHAC) is housed within the Graduate School of Social Work. Our mission is to advance knowledge and practice in the field of human-animal-environment interactions through innovative and ethical education and research. All of our work is guided by our commitment to social justice and cultural responsiveness. Our continuing education certificates and courses exist to provide education and training in human-animal interactions for professionals working in various human service fields with a strong emphases on ethics and animal well-being. In all of these programs, students earn CEUs on a University of Denver transcript, and they can be accessed by individuals around the globe.
