Ammi Hyde Interview
Give your application a voice.
Named after an influential DU professor, the Ammi Hyde Interview provides you an opportunity to demonstrate your personal qualities and experiences that aren't necessarily reflected in test scores, GPAs and essays.
What
You'll meet with one to three members of our community, including alumni, faculty and staff. Interviews last about 20 minutes. Participants from previous years tell us they found the experience enjoyable and beneficial - the atmosphere is relaxed, and questions are designed to let you give your application a voice.
Why
We use the Hyde Interview to learn more about our applicants and to determine whether they will benefit from and contribute to academic and community life at DU. Think of it as your chance to show us the many ways in which you are motivated to learn, concerned about integrity and honesty, and open to differences and new ideas.
Where
Hyde Interviews are hosted in select cities across the country in centrally located hotels. Due to space and staff limitations, our interview program is only offered in these designated cities in November and January. For students who are residing outside of these cities or not available during the dates of our interviews, please know that you will be given full consideration for admission and will not be penalized in any manner in our admission process.
When
Interview periods for students applying for Fall 2013 will occur in November 2012 for Early Action (EA) applicants and January 2013 for Regular Decision (RD) applicants. Interview spaces are limited in our select cities and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Unfortunately, phone and Skype interviews are not offered at this time.
How
You can register online for a Hyde Interview using your DU Student ID number and passcode.
