Are you a transfer student? DU defines a transfer student as someone who has taken, or is currently taking, college-level courses after having completed their high school education.
Every year, we welcome around 200 transfer students to our undergraduate ranks. If you've worked hard in college so far, been involved at school and in the community, and you're open to new challenges and ideas, then we hope you'll apply to join us at DU.

To apply for admission, you must complete the Common App or Pioneer App, submit a $65 application fee, submit your academic transcripts and send along your test scores (optional). You may also choose to provide an optional letter of recommendation.
We need to receive your application materials by the dates below for each respective quarter of study:
- Fall Quarter: April 1 priority deadline, June 1 final deadline
- Winter Quarter: October 15
- Spring Quarter: February 1 (limited space; applications are considered on a case-by-case basis)
- Summer Quarter: May 1
If you're applying for financial assistance as a transfer student, you'll need to submit the FAFSA and complete a CSS Profile. Check out our detailed financial aid instructions and contact us if you need assistance. We award more than $166 million in undergraduate financial assistance annually.
