Why DU

Our students finish with a leg up on the competition. You're more likely to graduate in four years at DU than at the average public school, and 91 percent of our graduates have a job or are in grad school within six months of commencement. And with the constellation of mentorship you’ll receive through your 4D Experience, a DU education bridges the ever-widening gap between college and career. We're here to provide every resource you'll need to pursue your passions once you've finished your degree.

We also believe in education as a vital growing experience. That's why we’ve created a unique two-campus learning environment at no additional cost to our students. We provide community-based service learning opportunities you just won't find at other schools, and we've invested in undergraduate research so you can take on intellectual and creative projects that are meaningful to you. Plus, you'll be in small classes receiving individual attention from our faculty, 90 percent of whom possess the highest degree available in their field.

Defer Enrollment

If you are considering deferring your enrollment to a future term, please log on to your application status page and complete this form. The form will ask about your plans for the next year and will confirm you will not be enrolling in a degree-granting program or coursework at another college/university. In addition to completing the form, you must submit a $300 tuition deposit to be considered for a deferral.

Please note that if you're pursuing a post-graduate year, you cannot request a gap year and will need to re-apply for admission if you want to be considered for a future term.
