Why DU

Our students finish with a leg up on the competition. You're more likely to graduate in four years at DU than at the average public school, and 88 percent of our graduates have a job or are in grad school within six months of commencement. A DU education bridges the ever-widening gap between college and career. We're here to provide every resource you'll need to pursue your passions once you've finished your degree.

We also believe in education as a vital growing experience. That's why we provide service learning opportunities you just won't find at other schools. We've invested in undergraduate research so you can take on intellectual and creative projects that are meaningful to you. Plus, you'll be in small classes receiving individual attention from our faculty, 90 percent of whom possess the highest degree available in their field.

Discover why DU is the perfect place to live, grow and experience an education that'll advance your career aspirations and support your passions.

Defer Enrollment

If you are considering deferring your enrollment to a future term, please log on to your application status page and complete this form. The form will ask about your plans for the next year and will confirm you will not be enrolling in a degree-granting program or coursework at another college/university. In addition to completing the form, you must submit a $300 tuition deposit to be considered for a deferral.

Please note that if you're pursuing a post-graduate year, you cannot request a gap year and will need to re-apply for admission if you want to be considered for a future term.

You'll have opportunities to join your classmates in social and educational experiences you won't find anywhere else. Find out why living at DU is about more than your classes--it's about joining a community.
