I am the Transfer Coordinator at the University of Denver and my job is to assist anyone who is interested in transferring into DU achieve that goal.
I grew up on Long Island in New York and studied history at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. One of my first jobs after leaving school was working record promotion for what is now MCA Records while taking night classes at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Later I moved to Western Pennsylvania (after admitting I had very limited acting talent) and became Program Services Director for a regional Girl Scout Council. After leaving PA, I had stops in Wisconsin, Connecticut, and Florida's Gold Coast. Afterwards, I finally arrived in Denver and began working in the DU Office of Admission 23 years ago! As you can guess, I really love DU. I've been lucky enough to witness all the wonderful progress here during these years. I especially enjoy working with transfer students. Each one is unique and has his or her own special story to tell. They bring a wealth of different experiences to DU and give an added dimension to the campus community. I get tremendous satisfaction out of helping students realize their dream to become part of the University of Denver.
What do I like best about the University of Denver? It would have to be all the caring people. Faculty and staff here work together to give each student the chance to reach his or her own full potential. Yes, there are great facilities on a beautiful campus; talented musicians to applaud; sport teams to cheer; but DU's real strength is its people. It is exciting to be a small part of it. I can proudly proclaim to be both the mother and mother-in-law of successful and happy DU alums.
If you are interested in the possibility of transferring to the University of Denver, please get in touch so I can learn more about you.
