Senior Associate Director of Admission and Campus Visit Coordinator
I became an Admission Counselor at the University of Denver after graduating from DU in 1999 with a Bachelor's degree in communication. Previously from a small town in Louisiana, I decided to go out of state for my college education and soon became a volunteer tour guide for the Office of Admission. I enjoyed my time in higher education so much that after graduation, I continued to work with college students at the Art Institute of Colorado, advising them on résumé building and interviewing skills. I decided to join the DU Office of Admission in 2001 and I am currently a Senior Associate Director, working with prospective DU students in the Denver metropolitan private schools, Kansas and Louisiana. I also supervise DU's prospective student visit programs, including Daily Visits, Open House and Pioneer Days. I just completed my master's program in Higher Education with an emphasis in Leadership and Organizational Change. I continue to stay involved in access issues by volunteering my time in local and regional organizations such as Colorado Council on High School/College Relations and the Rocky Mountain Association for College and Admission Counseling. When not working at DU, I enjoy taking advantage of what the Colorado outdoors and Denver city life has to offer. This summer I spent my weekends trail-building the Colorado Continental trail, fly-fishing in Yellowstone, attending the Mile High Music Festival, and visiting the Denver Art Museum. This winter I plan on snowboarding, snowshoeing, and hanging out at Stella's Coffee shop catching up with the fun reading I had to put off when finishing my masters.
My Territories
I spend my time at DU working with students from the states of Kansas and Louisiana, in addition to Colorado students who attend any of the Denver Private Schools.
