"The Abortion Talks" Screening and Table Dialogues

This was a screening of "The Abortion Talks," which chronicles the secret talks among leaders from opposing sides of the abortion debate after the Brookline clinic murders. This ground-breaking documentary will be followed by a facilitated, structured dialogue where students will have an opportunity to share their perspectives and listen to those of their peers.

Free Speech on the Inclusive Campus

Join the Conflict Engagement and Resolution Initiative (CERI) on October 19, 2023, at 5:30pm in the Forum (SIE 1020) for student-facilitated table deliberations on policy perspectives on Free Speech on the Inclusive Campus. At this event, students will have an opportunity to discuss several policy proposals related to free expression and inclusivity, with the assistance of prereading materials. Food will be provided! Open to all DU students!

On April 15, 2021, this event featured a panel of experts with regional ties who brought different disciplinary perspectives to bear to help us understand the history, relations, and prospects for peace in this troubled region.

Beyond the Food Fair: New Recipes for Building Multicultural Societies

This panel, hosted by the Conflict Resolution Institute on October 19, 2020, combined theory with community experiences to better understand how the use of food can build relations between host cultures and immigrant and refugee populations. Join us for a panel that will draw on experiences of the community from CBOs as well as theoretical approaches to intergroup contact and integration.

Systematic Collaborative Visioning for Conflict Resolution Action and Evaluation in the Post-Covid-19 World

On Friday May 15, 2020, Jay Rothman in partnership with the Conflict Resolution Institute hosted an experiential education session about Action Evaluation. In this zoom-based session Rothman shared his experience developing and applying Action Evaluation of, for and by the Conflict Resolution field. He also explained and illustrated the process through a participatory “evaluation” of the field and what it might offer the world in and after the Covid-19 pandemic.
