Ritchie Center Maintenance

Ritchie Center Maintenance is a division of the Department of Facilities Management & Planning that is responsible for the day-to-day cleaning and maintenance of the Ritchie Center's facilities, structures, systems, equipment, pavement, and grounds. This includes routine daily upkeep such as site maintenance, housekeeping, and groundskeeping, as well as scheduled periodic work such as preventative maintenance, equipment cleaning, minor repairs, and inspections.

Landscape and turf management at the Ritchie Center is focused on preserving, maintaining, and improving the grounds. Services include:

  • Mowing grass, blowing clippings, edging, and weed control
  • Trash and cigarette butt collection
  • Irrigation
  • Fertilization
  • Sports turf management
  • Maintenance of hard surfaces
  • Maintenance and improvement of planting beds
  • Snow removal and de-icing

Unless agreed upon in advance and managed through an interdepartmental service agreement, Ritchie Center Maintenance services do not extend to items owned by the operating units occupying the facilities. Such items include computers, audio/visual equipment, art/museum exhibits, athletic equipment, etc.

 

Ritchie Center Maintenance requests can be initiated using iServiceDesk, the Facilities Management work request system.

Emergencies and After-Hours Requests

For Ritchie Center Maintenance–related emergencies, please call 303-435-2128. If the emergency is after 8:30 p.m. on a weekday or 5 p.m. on the weekend, please contact Campus Safety at extension x1-3000 and they will dispatch the appropriate available staff.
