Escape to DU’s Kennedy Mountain Campus for a unique Spanish learning retreat designed for working professionals, including K-12 educators, with little to no previous experience in the language. This immersive program blends interactive, communication focused Spanish instruction with the restorative power of nature—creating a refreshing, meaningful, and confidence building learning experience. Set against the serene backdrop of the Rockies, participants learn Spanish not only through structured lessons, but also through real world connection, cultural exploration, conversation circles, and creative workshops. During this 3-day program, you’ll step away from the busyness of everyday life and into an environment built for growth, community, and rejuvenation. Daily guided hikes and yoga sessions invite you to engage both mind and body, strengthening the connection between language learning and overall wellbeing. With time to unplug, reflect, and recharge, this program is designed to be as restorative as it is educational. Participants will: • Learn how to connect, build friendships, and create community in Spanish through practical, conversational activities. • Engage in interactive, communication focused classes plus cultural discussions, conversation circles, and creative, hands-on workshops. • Unplug, recharge, and reconnect in a stunning natural setting. • Explore mindful movement through guided yoga sessions and hiking excursions that support focus, grounding, and the mind–body connection. Whether your goal is to begin your Spanish journey, build confidence using the language, or simply enjoy a meaningful retreat in nature, this immersive program offers a supportive, welcoming space to learn, connect, and explore. Participants can earn 1 continuing education unit for this 3-day program. Refund policy: If the program is cancelled, registered participants will receive a 100% refund on fees paid. All other refunds (i.e., participant cancellations, etc.) must be requested in writing to the CWLC Director at Virginie.Cassidy@du.edu. Because of contract obligations, all such refund requests must be received no later than 3 weeks before the start of the program (5/26).
