This course supports tribal child welfare program leaders at all levels - directors, managers, supervisors, and emerging leaders - to support their tribal child welfare program. The first section explores indigenous leadership skills and how change happens through growing, understanding context, nurturing, and practicing shared leadership. Participants will learn about the “Indigenous Circles of Leading” and how to apply this practice individually and within their tribal organization. The second section covers the “Intergenerational Protective Circles of Care” framework, and the third section explores how to mobilize people and resources for adaptive change. Finally, the fourth section allows participants to reflect on their personal and organizational leadership and engages participants in discussing needed personal and organizational change.
