Dear DU Community,

Our revitalized brand system is now online and accompanied by a host of new features and resources to support your work.

On June 18, we released DU’s refreshed Brand Book with accompanying visual and editorial style guides to senior leadership as well as communication and marketing professionals across the University. We’ve also shared it with various vendors to aid in creating the next phase of projects—from unit marketing initiatives to Kennedy Mountain Campus signage and wayfinding to year 2 of the For the Difference marketing campaign.

And now, the Brand Book, as well as our Editorial Style guide, our Visual Style guide, and important tools and resources, are all available to every one of our DU community members through DU’s new Brand website. I encourage you to explore all the resources and get familiar with the content.

From the Tools & Resources section of this central website, you will be able to:

In addition, we would like to give a shout out to our friends in IT for helping us upload new branded Zoom backgrounds. You can find the new backgrounds under Settings, Background & Effects. Don’t forget to restart your Zoom account if you don’t see them.

Remember, a great brand doesn't change. It evolves. Through this digital brand library, we will be able to house all our brand resources as well as continue to update them as we continue to grow as a University. Over the coming months, you’ll see additional resources to help support you in your work—from simplified ordering of business papers to customizing your email signature within the University’s new standard. And next calendar year, we look forward to releasing a series of branded templates for you to use for your promotional and communication needs.

The continued development of our brand resource website and support for campus needs is just the beginning of the exciting things to look forward to this year. Soon, you will begin to see signs of our refreshed brand being used all over campus and in communities across the country. We continue sharing news about these changes through social media, emails and newsletters.

I hope you are as excited about the energy and momentum that accompanies these changes as I am and will continue to join us on this journey. DU’s brand is made up of its people, and it takes each one of us contributing to move it forward.

Sincerely,
