Dear University of Denver colleagues,

I would like to share with you the good news that the Board of Trustees approved the University's fiscal year 2020 budget at its recent meeting. Many of you are involved directly and indirectly in the process of budget development each year, and I thank you for all of the work that entails.

The result of our collective efforts each year is a document called the "budget transmittal," which is presented to the Board in the first week of June for review and approval. The transmittal is a compendium of information, including graphs, charts, data, and narrative, that details the proposed revenue and expense activities of the University for the coming fiscal year (our fiscal year begins on July 1, so fiscal year 2020 runs from July 2, 2019 to June 30, 2020).

As we close out fiscal year 2019, the University is financially in good shape. We are poised to begin fiscal year 2020 in a good position.

I urge you to read the fiscal year 2020 budget transmittal. Not a word of what was present to and approved by the Board has been changed. You may access the document by logging in to PioneerWeb and clicking on the Employee tab. In the top center is a link to the University Budget Transmittal.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Jeremy Haefner

Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor
