Future Takes Flight at DU

DU's Unmanned Systems Research Institute is attempting to improve UAV technology by allowing for shorter takeoffs while increasing payload and overall flight times. Their ultimate goal is to program an aircraft to perform multiple tasks, and if needed, change the mission of the aircraft while it's in flight.
