Learning and Development (Communication Management)

How do adults learn? Discover the strategies used to communicate and facilitate adult learning to meet organizational needs through the learning and development program. Whether you're a consultant, corporate trainer or educator, this program will prepare you to leverage instructional technologies and evaluate the impact of learning. From design and delivery through to implementation and evaluation, you'll determine how to execute projects from start to finish using adult learning theories.

In addition to the insight you'll gain into adult learning processes, the program will help you develop general communication and project-implementation skills. You can earn your MA in communication management with a concentration in learning and development entirely online or in the evenings on campus through the University of Denver's University College. Beyond the coursework dedicated to learning and development, you can also choose electives from other communication areas including marketing, organizational communication, alternative dispute resolution and more. You can also choose to pursue this master's concentration through the MS in strategic human resources program.
