Professional Biography
I was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Denver’s Barnum West neighborhood. As one of six siblings in a family of Mexican immigrants, I learned early the value of resilience and community—principles that guide me today.
I earned a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Colorado Boulder and later completed an M.A. at Regis University. I also hold a certificate in Copyediting from the University of California, San Diego.
With over five years of experience in higher education and nearly a decade working with students of all ages, I’m passionate about creating opportunities for growth and success. Joining the University of Denver has been incredibly- I appreciate the collaborative environment, beautiful campus, and innovative programs.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me at the movie theater or enjoying a meal at Denver’s Far East Center. My advice to anyone pursuing their goals: Fail. Then get back up, try again, or pivot. You’ll never know what you’re capable of until you’ve failed a few times.
