Professional Biography
Lorenzo Patelli, PhD, CMA, is professor in the School of Accountancy and Senior Associate Dean at the Daniels College of Business. In academic year 25/26, he was appointed by DU Provost to co-chair the academic affairs committee on better prepare students to succeed and lead in an AI-transformed workforce. His research examines how corporate disclosures reveal managerial characteristics, including managerial integrity. He has several articles published in Journal of Business Ethics. He is the past Chair of the Committee on Ethics and a current member of the Global Board of Directors of the Institute of Management Accountants. He has received a number of academic honors, including several teaching excellence awards and the David Solomons Prize from Management Accounting Research.
