DCSE Open House
On October 20th, the Division held its Open House to the entire DU Community from 10am1pm. We were blown away by the strong attendance, counting 200 community members representing students, faculty, and staff. Those who came were able to meet our team running eight stations that highlighted our current and upcoming work. These included:
- Feedback for our suite and community lounges
- Care closet
- Affinity groups and ELI
- Mindfulness hours
- Academic Community Engagement (ACE) team
- Professional support
- Being within community
- Our Division value of “thriving”
Several community members brought “suite-warming” gifts on their own initiative to help us bring more life to our space, which we’re eager to put up over winter break. People brought questions, ideas, and their support for our work which we deeply appreciated.
We have found the best way to share our message about who we are and the work we do is with in-person engagements. We’ve held dozens of such meetings, and will continue to engage with as many people as we can through further gatherings. Stay tuned for more to come!
