Disability Accommodations

The University provides reasonable accommodations for the known disabilities of otherwise qualified employees, students, applicants, and participants or attendees of University services and activities, unless providing an accommodation would fundamentally alter the event or activity or pose an undue hardship. The individual with a disability has the responsibility to make a timely request for accommodations.

Employees and applicants for employment should contact the University’s ADA Coordinator at ADA.Coordinator@du.edu or 303-871-7726 to make a request for disability-related accommodations.  Guests and visitors may contact the ADA Coordinator to make a request for accommodations.

For more information and resources about disability access and inclusion, please visit the ADA Compliance and Accessiblity website.

Guests or visitors requesting disability-related accommodations for University services or activities should make the request directly to the event or service organizer.  University employees who are uncertain about how to respond to an accommodation request may contact the ADA Coordinator for consultation and assistance with the provision of reasonable accommodations.

DU Students seeking disability-related accommodations related to their student role must contact AccessibleDU: Student Disability Services by email at sds@du.edu or by phone at 303-871-3241. For accommodation request for students at the Fisher Early Learning Center or the Ricks Center for Gifted Children, the parents/guardians should contact the respective school.
