Dear DU Community,

Due to encouraging conditions on campus (overall positivity rate under 1%), falling positivity in Denver (under 5%), and overall good compliance with return to campus procedures, we are changing our alert level to yellow, effective 1/19/2021. In alert level yellow, building capacity increases to 50%, small events are allowed (capped at 25), and visitors are allowed on-campus following visitor protocols, including for approved in-person research and clinical services.

Please continue to follow campus COVID-19 protocols, including mask wearing, social distancing, and good hand hygiene, avoid large gatherings and follow procedures for events. These are especially important practices to stop the spread of COVID-19 and are critical while conditions nationally are still quite escalated. We are also confronting the possibility of a more transmissible variant of this virus. Compliance, combined with retesting, is also essential to allow quick containment of any case clusters and to help remain at alert yellow level or below.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and if you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me, COVIDcoordinator@du.edu.
