Colorado Family & Medical Leave Insurance Program (FAMLI) Update

Dear DU community, 
  

Beginning January 2024, most DU employees will see a new payroll tax listed on their pay statements for the Colorado Family and Medical Leave Insurance Program (FAMLI). This payroll deduction is labeled “CO Family Leave Insurance,” a contribution made by the employee that totals 0.45% of their wage. The University covered the employee portion of these contributions for 2023.  

The Colorado FAMLI program provides all eligible employees a portion of their weekly salary for up to 12 weeks of leave to care for themselves or a family member, with an additional four weeks of leave for complications during pregnancy or childbirth.
