The DU men’s soccer team is one win away from battling for the national championship in college soccer. Standing between them and that goal? This evening’s match against Wake Forest.

DU entered the tournament as the sixth overall seed. Wake Forest is the No. 2 seed and the highest-ranked team remaining in the tournament. The Pioneers defeated No. 3 seed Clemson last week to advance to the College Cup, while Wake Forest beat Virginia Tech.

The College Cup is taking place at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. MT, and the game will be broadcast on ESPNU. The winner of this game will advance to the finals on Sunday, taking on the winner of the contest between University of North Carolina and Stanford.

If you are looking for a place to watch today’s game, several bars and restaurants around Denver are hosting viewing parties. Crimson & Gold, Stadium Inn, The Pioneer, Snarf’s, Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant, GB Fish & Chips, Three Lions Pub and the Rosedale all plan to cheer the Pioneers this evening.
