The Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System (IAALS) honored El Pomar Foundation and its executives, William J. Hybl and Kyle H. Hybl, with the 2017 Rebuilding Justice Award. The presentation was made last week during the institute’s 10th annual gala at the Cable Center.

El Pomar Foundation is a Colorado nonprofit organization that awards grants to nonprofits providing basic services such as food, clothing and shelter to people in need. The foundation is a longtime supporter of the University of Denver and DIAALOGUES, a series of national conversations created by IAALS to bring together the best minds in the country to forge solutions to the most pressing issues facing the American legal system.

The Rebuilding Justice Award is given to individuals and organizations that exemplify the spirit of innovation and leadership that IAALS champions toward building a legal system that is accessible, fair, reliable, efficient and accountable. The first recipient of the award was former United States Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor in 2007.
