The University officially welcomed 1,486 new students to campus this September. For most of them, the move was a big one—70 percent of first-year students come from 47 states other than Colorado. In addition to out-of-state domestic students, 74 individuals in the class of 2022 come from 23 countries.

This class is also racially and ethnically diverse, with 24 percent of students identifying as non-white. They’ve come to DU with significant accomplishments to their credit: The class averages an SAT score of 1265 and ACT score of 28.

While it seems like the class of 2022 just moved in, it’s already time to start thinking about next year’s group of first-year students. Last week, the University extended offers to students who applied through its early-decision and early-admission programs. Here’s a preview of the class slated to arrive on campus next fall:

  • 59 percent female and 41 percent male
  • 78 percent out of state and 22 percent in state
  • 24 percent students of color
  • 3.75 average GPA
  • 1285 average SAT
  • 29 average ACT
