Announcement  •

Dear DU Community,

Unfortunately, there is an uptick in COVID-19 cases across the country, and we are also seeing a rise in cases on campus. I know that we are all looking forward to many in-person end of year activities and events so we want to do everything we can to lower positivity rates, stay active and enjoy special occasions.

To help us do so, please stay on your testing schedule, test if you feel any COVID-19 symptoms, and follow the assigned protocols if you are identified as a close contact of someone who has tested positive.

Reminder, if you are hosting an event to please be sure you follow the protocols including having a sign-in process and having visitors follow the visitor protocol. Where relevant, you may wish to remind attendees that testing is required for campus clearance and campus clearance is required for events. If you learn you have had someone test positive at an event, please notify contact.tracing@du.edu promptly.

At this time, we are not adjusting the alert level on campus, but we have increased testing frequency to more quickly curtail rising positivity on campus. Please check your next testing dates on pioneerweb and look for email reminders. Let’s work together to end the year strong.

Sincerely,

Sarah Watamura,

COVID Coordinator
