Dear DU employees,

News  •

As we approach the holiday season, I want to express my profound thanks for your many contributions throughout the year. As a small expression of gratitude, the University will close at noon the day prior to Thanksgiving break, Wednesday, Nov. 27, and the day before winter break, Tuesday, Dec. 24.

I hope you all enjoy this time to relax or spend time with friends and loved ones. And thank you again for contributing to this great community.

Sincerely,
Jeremy Haefner, Chancellor

From Human Resources & Inclusive Excellence: Pre-Holiday Half-Day Procedures

-Are you a benefited hourly employee scheduled to work a full day on either Nov. 27 or Dec. 24? You will be paid for a full 7.5-hour day even though your time card will reflect the half-day closure.

-Are you a benefited employee deemed “essential,” or are you an employee covered by a collective bargaining agreement? Please refer to your normal departmental processes and procedures regarding University closures and consult your supervisor with any questions.

Additionally, the Ritchie Center will maintain planned operations. Customer-facing operations, such as campus tours, will also remain in effect, so these employee’s schedules will remain unchanged.
