The University of Denver and National Jewish Health have vaccinated approximately 11,800 people on the DU campus. Vaccination efforts on campus began in February during a Valentine’s Day event that resulted in more than 3,000 individuals receiving their first vaccine. Over the last month, DU and National Jewish Health have hosted first- and second-dose vaccination events roughly twice a week thanks to the help of student and DU community volunteers.

The University of Denver and National Jewish Health created a new partnership in the summer of 2020 to help with the safe return to campus for DU students, faculty and staff. The two organizations worked together to develop and refine monitoring, testing, isolation and contact-tracing protocols. Using the DU campus as a vaccination location has been the next phase in a growing partnership.
