Dear DU Community Members,

The University of Denver Board of Trustees recently approved a three percent undergraduate tuition increase for next academic year that begins in Fall 2022. Before financial aid, this is an increase of $45 per credit hour.

In making this decision, our trustees, with the guidance and advice of our academic and financial leaders, took into consideration the toll the coronavirus has taken on our families’ finances. At the same time, we are committed to creating high-quality experiences for our students.

Please know, financial aid eligibility is reassessed each year by Financial Aid, and need-based aid is adjusted annually relative to changes in cost and family financial circumstances. If you have a question about your financial aid or the application process, please call 303-871-4020, email finaid@du.edu, or drop by University Hall room 255.

We have been able to hold the increases down, in part, because our enrollment has remained steady and strong. We continue to make every effort to control costs while enhancing the learning experience of our students. We are committed to ensuring the high quality of a DU education, while also considering the challenges our families are confronting during this difficult time.

Sincerely,

Mary Clark
